Jacob Butlett is a three-time Pushcart Prize- and one-time Best of the Net-nominated author with an A.A. in Liberal Arts, B.A. in Creative Writing, and M.F.A. in Poetry. Jacob's creative works have been published in many journals, including the Colorado Review, The Hollins Critic, The MacGuffin, Lunch Ticket, and Into the Void. In 2017 Jacob won the Bauerly-Roseliep Scholarship for academic and literary excellence at Loras College. In 2019 he was a finalist in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards residency competition. In 2023 he received an Honorable Mention for the Academy of American Poets Prize (Graduate Prize) at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale (SIUC), sponsored by the Academy of American Poets. In 2024 he completed the course on writing best-selling fiction offered by The Great Courses. A former Crab Orchard Review social media manager, Jacob is pursuing an M.F.A. in Fiction. In February of 2024, Jacob accepted the role of Poetry Editor at the Blue Earth Review.
